Ok, so it's not Tuesday, again, but hey, it REALLY is called Not Me! Monday, right? Or maybe I've just figured out how to get supper made & children bathed & blog Not Me! Monday, all in 2 1/2 hours! *So, my cousin did not tell me she had a dream about how she got to meet MckMama & go to her house to meet her MSC (you have to read MckMama's blog to know what that means!). That is so not funny! *And I certainly did not wake up this morning realizing that I had had a dream too! That wouldn't be so crazy! I didn't dream that I saw her at the mall with PC (again, her blog!) & then didn't yell "It's MckMama! Stay there! Let me get my camera!" That is just not absurd! =)

Feelin' Fine

Here's another bathroom update:

It's so close to being done that I can almost taste it. Well, ok, not really. It's a bathroom & that would be gross. But you know what I mean.

I don't know if it's because the bathroom is almost done & I can take back all the space that has been cluttered up, but I've been cleaning & organizing more than I have for a LONG time. Man, it feels so good!

I don't think it'll be too long before I can give you the grand tour. There's just a little bit of tweaking to do yet.

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. So it's not Tuesday, I had the day off & decided to link up with MckMama today! Let's see, what didn't I do this past week.... I have not been creating a card file system that tells me exactly what I need to do every day (to keep up with cleaning & organizing) just so I actually don't have to do the work that I'm writing on all those cards. I would NEVER spend time making lists so I wouldn't have to complete them. Nope. Not me! I did not take my first shower in the "new" bathroom & absolutely love it! Now, I am absolutely not impatient to be able to relax & soak in my first bath! I did not drive 45 minutes to take my #1 son to the dermatologist & then sit & watch him cry as she burned a couple of warts off of him. There is no way that I would feel my eyes getting watery as I watched. I do not enjoy watching #2 son, who is 3 1/2, hold his newborn baby cousin. He isn't absolutely adorable as he gazes at the little munchkin. We also did not laugh at #1 & #2 as they wrestled, shirtless, & tried to pull down each others' pants. We would never encourage such antics. Nope. Not us! And I do not have a cousin who is at her wits' end because her 2 year old gets in his diaper (every day!) & wipes poo EVERYWHERE! She has not tried everything she can think of to get him to stop. *Any suggestions? Anyone?* Whew. That feels better! =)

Tweeks & BRRR!!

Oh my word is it cold! I haven't been outside too much lately but the little bit I have.....yowzer! I could never live way up north!

Well, I've got my new blog design going! It took me a long time to figure out how to do it right, but internet tutorials are great!

The bathroom is SLOWLY coming together. I think the adventure of living with one completely working bathroom is well past being an adventure, we just want it done! Here are some hints...

Poor #1 went to the dermatologist on Friday b/c he's had some warts on his hands & lip...he's had them for a long time & it's too long of a story to tell why he HAS had them for so long (just think goofy doctors & insurance companies). Anyway, the nice (seriously) doctor was behind & after we finally got to see her, she got right to business. She burned off the one on his lip & thumb knuckle, he's got some around his fingernail that she can't burn off. The poor guy didn't know what was coming (heck, I didn't even know what was coming!), they numbed him & went right to work. He started to cry a little at one point & that almost made me want to b/c I couldn't hold his hand or anything! But he was a trooper! He didn't make one sound & the nurse was impressed! He & #2 got lollipops for doing so well. The doctor & intern made a comment about his eyelashes. =)

Can't Keep Up & Not Me! Tuesday...?

I'm having a hard time finding interesting things to write on here with any frequency, or it could be the fact that I've read 5 books since Christmas. =) I absolutely enjoy diving into a good book!

Hubby & I started attending Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University last night & we had a good time! We are both pretty timid in strange new situations, but we ended up knowing quite a few people there so it went well. The boys even had fun with the other kids in the "babysitting" room. So, to say the least, Mondays are FULL! I get home from work @ 4:00 & must make supper, get me & 2 boys clean & be to the church BEFORE 6:30! That is an almost impossible task at our house. So, I might have to move Not Me! to Tuesdays & I will not be linking to MckMama's blog either. But, I'm sure you will still enjoy the funny, embarrassing, mundane, or not, things from our life. Here's Not Me! TUESDAY:

-#1 son did not start back to school last Monday & hubby & I did not kind of not remember to go out to show our faces for the bus driver because we were not down in the basement arguing about moving some drywall & beadboard. We did not come out of the basement to meet #1 son with a scowl on his face & asking, "Where were you? She honked the horn!" Oh geez.

-Hubby & I were not in the bathroom-under-construction painting/talking when hubby did not hear the bus horn honk. Again. Oh geez. Hubby did not come back in to tell me that #1 son told the bus driver when they were waiting for us, "It's ok, they were just arguing yesterday." Oh geez.

-I was not away when #1 got off the bus on Thursday, so I did not hear the bus horn honk. Again. Oh geez. She probably thinks we're a bunch of loonies or something! =) So I can't say that it wasn't my fault that time!

-But! I almost didn't make #1 miss the bus Friday morning because I fell asleep on the couch 15 minutes before it was supposed to be here. Oh geez. We certainly DO NOT need to do something about this!

-Hubby was not out plowing the roads all day Saturday & Sunday morning and he certainly does not a need to catch up on some sleep!

Bye Bye Red!

I've started painting! I think that means we're on the downhill side of this renovation. I mean, there's still lots to do but it's not the really important time-consuming stuff. Although I do think I will detest painting after this is over & if you know anything about me, I LOVE to change paint colors, often. Other than working on the bathroom & not wanting to do anything else but paint (you know, like laundry, dishes, supper, picking up clutter....wait a minute..... I don't do those things even when I'm not painting!) not much is happening here. But I do have a funny little #1 son story but we'll save that for Not Me! Monday....=)

Here is what my bathroom looks like right at this very moment, hopefully tonight it will look just a tad different. And I think my photos from now on will just be sneak peeks, you'll need the whole effect once it's done you know!

Not Me! Monday

Sorry, this Not Me! Monday is going to be short, the game is about to start & I'd like to watch the whole thing! So here goes..... -The bathroom is not coming together, my hubby & his dad HAVE NOT been working super hard to get stuff done. -There is not an inch of dust in my bedroom from the construction. ((shudder)) -There was not a super funny although horribly gross accident at our house on Tuesday. This is not the short but funny version... * I went to visit my new nephew at the hospital, dad-in-law was at the house working so Hubby thought it would be ok to burn trash since it was piling up fast from demolition, etc. Well, he came back up to the house & his dad came running out saying "We've got a problem!" Right away hubby thought he had broken a waterline or the new tub or something. Then he told him that #2 son had an accident. HUbby ACTUALLY thought "Whew, is that all?" If you knew him, you'd be very surprised at that. He walked in & there was the poor little guy, frozen in place with poop all down his legs, pants. He is taking meds for an ear infection it gives him diarrhea & since #1 son didn't want to help him & everybody else was unavailable.....So hubby got out the rubber gloves, chucked the undies & socks & left the pants for me. I just laughed & laughed! -It is not my job to start painting in the bathroom tomorrow, of course, AFTER I don't have to clean it all first! -I certainly DO NOT get teary-eyed when I watch dotting of the "i" in Script Ohio. I am not that weird. Nope. Not me!

Catching Up

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2009 already? Man, the older I get, the faster time flies! Just wanted to catch everyone up on what's happening here:

-My new nephew arrived Monday afternoon! That is the 4th grandson out of 4 grandbabies on the hubby's side....boys are about all there is! =)

-The bathroom is slowly coming around. I think they are planning on having the plumbing all done today, they need to take the toilet out to put down a layer of plywood for the new vinyl floor, & the rest of the drywalling will probably get done this weekend too. Those are the plans anyway, they've come up against something unplanned every step of the way so far! But hey, I know! =) Here are some pics of the progress:

It's getting SO close!

-For those of you who don't know, I am a scrapbooker, big time. Well, I used to be anyway. I still LOVE it but I've hit a slump, a big slump, like over a year slump. So I'm contemplating doing a 365 album. You take a picture every day for a year & scrapbook it. I'd love to get better @ photography & maybe I will be motivated to get out of this slump! I'd love to get my hands on some "rocking" patterned paper!

-And I am working on a new look for my blog. I love to be creative & unique & this pre-fab blog layout isn't quite cutting it. Hopefully I will have something soon!
