Have you ever....

been so disappointed with someone or something & kind of mad about it and then suddenly remember someone with a situation way worse than yours? Maybe even just wanting to live? Yeah, me too.

Pray for baby Stellan & his family

*Update* Stellan is still in the PICU with SVT (VERY fast heart rate) & some irregularity & an enlarged heart. Please keep praying, even if you don't read MckMama's blog. They are trusting God but, as you can imagine, it must be terrifying. As you know I read MckMama's blog faithfully & sort of feel like I "know" her little family a little. She took her miracle baby Stellan to the ER for what they thought was a nasty cold or something & long story short, he ended up with SVT which was what he was diagnosed with in the womb (but he was healed). I don't think it's good. I haven't seen an update anywhere from Mckmama since late this morning & I KNOW she would've blogged or twittered about it if he was ok. Please pray. They need it right now. Please go over & check out her blog for the whole story, even way back to when Stellan was not born yet. God is working.

Accidental Discovery

I had the greatest discovery this morning as I was cleaning toilets. Ok. That sounds gross, but it's really not. AFTER I was done cleaning the upstairs bathroom, I squirted a bit of the toilet bowl cleaner in the sink because it has pretty bad hard water stains in it. When I came to check on it, the spot I had squirted was pure sparkling white! Wow! I have been trying different things for years to get that yucky stuff off & I still can't believe toilet bowl cleaner took 8 years worth of hard water stains off in 8 seconds. (That is not an exaggeration!) So I looked at the bottle & this is what I discovered...

See the REMOVES tag? Ha. I didn't know I had gotten this kind & certainly didn't know it this morning when I tried it. But you know the best part of the whole thing? This regular-sized bottle probably cost less than $2 @ Wal-Mart. And it cleaned so good, I'm going to keep a bottle on hand just for cleaning my sink. Which, by the way, looks like this now....

I wish I had a before picture. From the faucet all the way down & around the drain was an orangy rust color, even the metal stopper had some on it. Now they all shine!

One warning though, the stuff is potent! Make sure you ventilate the room if possible & wear rubber gloves! I have a cut on my finger & that stuff got on it & it burned like crazy!

So boring, I know!

Sorry to the few of you who actually read this thing, I've been SO busy that I'm beginning to not think straight let alone write a blog post! Although, while I've been at work I HAVE thought of some subjects to blog about and hopefully they will come to fruition soon. Beware, I am a SLOW thinker though, it could take months! =)

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. -I didn't see the words "McNugget meltdown" on my search engine's home page & immediately think it had something to do with MckMama's 2nd son. Oh boy. I seriuosly am not a blog junkie! -My #2 son didn't come running to me & say "My butt is telling me I have to poop!" Eeewww!! -Hubby & I have not decided our #1 son is going to be an engineer or something because he really does not like to think things through & "invent" stuff. -#2 is totally not in love with pig"w"ets right now. And this certainly is not the conversation we had during prayer before bedtime last night: me: Ok, your turn to pray tonight, tell God something you're thankful for. #2: Dear God, thank you for pigwets & I wish I could get a pigwet. me: Good job. Good night, I'll see you in the morning. #2: No! Wait mom! You have to pray too! me: I'll pray at my bed ok? #2: No mom, you have to pray for pigwets! -And we certainly don't it's so cute that he asks for a piglet every day. And hubby absolutely didn't promise to get him one! (We really live on a farm so it's ok!)
