Traditional Parenting
In our sunday school class (after almost 11 years of marriage we finally have a s.s. for married couples our age, hallelujah!) we have been studying a very enlightening parenting book that discusses the use of traditional parenting.
And no, it's not about spanking.
Here is the book we've been studying the last 4-5 months. Hubby & I have also ordered this book because we are convinced this is the way we want to raise our boys.
WARNING: What the author has to say may be controversial if you subscribe to other parenting philosophies. However, this is what we believe is biblical & while some things are sometimes hard to get our minds around because of what we've been fed by non-Christian psychologists, we can say with confidence that what he teaches is a GOOD thing.
Tomorrow, Stellan will be having surgery on his tiny little heart, in Boston. The doctors see no other way to control his SVT. In his honor, MckMama's blog readers are wearing orange shirts. (Stellan's favorite color according to his mama =}) If you've been following their story, I invite you to wear orange as a tangible reminder to pray for him on Tuesday. The surgery is VERY risky on such a little guy but his parents are full of hope & leaning on the Everlasting arms.
